Plant a Seed I am a man Standing on a soapbox In the middle of a cornfield I want to plant a seed And Watch it grow Into a full bloom of discontent Towards the Status Quo I am yelling at the top of my lungs Screaming loud and clear To the birds, flowers, grass and trees I am the angry outsider Who harbors a heart full of healthy hatred That burns with a smoldering bitterness I accept my voice sounds like a noisemaker wielded by a drunken birthday party clown Desperate to engage an uninterested audience

about

The Uncivil Society in association with Suburban Utopia Projects presents “The Uncivil Songbook 2001- 2021”. Inspired by productivity of Johnny Cash, who is credited with writing over 1500 songs in his time, Anon_73 celebrates producing independent projects for twenty years by consolidating the lyrics, and compositions that have accompanied
each project in a limited edition hard cover book.

While preparing the project, Anon73 encountered “Plant A Seed” - a song written in 2004 yet never recorded. Understanding the gravity and challenges of being positive in the face of a global pandemic he recorded this song to express hopefulness and inspire others to celebrate their creativity, while encapsulating the essence of his character.

Tracks:

1) Plant A Seed_original (robot version) - TRT 2:41
2) Plant A Seed_redux (animal version) - TRT 3:14

about

The Uncivil Society Seattle, Washington

I do, because I love to do it. I understand that I am a hack musician, a terrible vocalist and a sloppy graphic artist. I don’t care about achieving perfection, because I am happiest while being engaged in the exalted messiness of my creative process. I don’t worry about capturing the perfect take. I am satisfied by the pure joy I derive from expressing myself without filter or restraint. ... more
